Middle School Fun Night

December brought an opportunity for our middle school students to socialize and hang out. Middle School Game Night allowed our students to enjoy games such as life sized Jenga, interactive games on the Wii and Connect 4 to name a few, with plenty of refreshments to go around. We concluded the night with an EPIC game of Musical Chairs! The classic game brought smiles and laughter to all who participated.

PUBLIC FORUM
​
The Menands School PTA would like to thank all our community members who were able to attend our public forum held on Wed, November 9th. We discussed the changes to the school's new schedule as well as the impact on recess. The community, parents, teachers and administration were able to come together and have a productive conversation to begin a discussion on resolving current concerns. Superintendent Dr. Maureen Long provided additional background information regarding the changes and answered questions. Menands School Relief Efforts

The Menands School PTA was happy to support the Menands School community in their relief efforts caused by hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, Hurricane Irma in Florida and the Caribbean and the earthquake in Mexico.
Boxes of supply items and containers for a Penny Drive were collected during the month of October and November. We would like to thank all who participated in this generous fundraiser and hope it reaches so many who are still in need. Thank you for your support.
Family Fun Night
Thank you to all our families who were able to make it out to the Menands School PTA Family Fun Night. We had a total of 189 people come out for a fun night of bingo, snacks and prizes. A special thank you goes out to Kathleen Boulet and her event committee for all their hard work.
Literacy Night

Hometown author, Eric Luper, and hear an all ages presentation on writing and creativity. Book signing after presentation.
Staff Appreciation Luncheon
We are excited to show our staff at Menands School how much we appreciate all their hard work and dedication throughout the year. The luncheon will be held from 11:30 - 2:30 on Tuesday, June 19th in the school library. If you are interested in contributing any food or beverage items please let us know.
